Sometime I feel half the same when posting on HN: mostly of the time got no response, but at least I can read posts and comments from others. At least you can use it as a personal blog or daily journal when you write not for the purpose of getting response. When the amount of content is built up, it will have higher chance to get response if you're still on the network, and followed the audiences back.
