Checking in with a 2012 Toshiba Satellite R830 still ticking. Only had to replace the battery pack about 4 years ago. Takes me 30 seconds to boot up and 4 seconds to shutdown running Debian since forever. Does what I want and gets out of the way. Never really felt anything missing performance wise.
