Ask HN: What are some interesting stuff happening in the back-end world
I'm a full-stack dev by DNA, but for the past half a decade I've been thinking / focussing on the front-end. Front-end saw some huge changes during these years like Angular/Ember slowly phasing out, Component based code architecture and functional paradigms in front-end stores, code bundling techniques, etc.
Curious how the scene is in the server-side world? What recent developments happened and how good/bad are they?
- softwaredoug 5y agoIn the search space there’s a large menu of new search engines like http://vespa.ai http://vespa.ai and many Rust based alternatives. Not particularly new, but the streaming world with dataflow and Flink is pretty cool.
