How to Cope When Your Colleagues Keep Quitting
- smoyer 5y agoMy "pod" at work has lost its tech-lead twice in two months and it's certainly been challenging to continue with only 60% of the engineers we'd normally have (we've reduced the expected number of points per sprint). In our case, it seems like the competition for software engineers (as well as the current VC largess) has led to salaries being increased and people can improve their standard-of-living by changing positions every year or so (versus the conventional wisdom that you should change companies every 3-4 years).
