I just drove a motorcycle for the first time two days ago. Took about 10 minutes of solo practice on a quiet street before I was comfortable enough driving with a passenger around on the street. Didn't watch videos or read any guides, just found it quite intuitive.
It was an automatic scooter though so I'm sure that makes it way, way easier than some sort of manual sport motorcycle!
- hermitcrab 5y agoI rode a bike for over a year before I felt safe enough to take a passenger on the back.
- weird-eye-issue 5y agoThis was a small island in Thailand where 99% of the traffic was other motorcycles, so I think that had a lot to do with it. There were lots of curves and stuff but I just kept it relatively slow and steady. Also I have a ton of mountain biking experience so it felt quite natural
