American overcorrection is bizare. Years ago I recall hearing regularly that many Americans had no annual leave at all, or the ones who did would get fired if they took it. Now it's the other extreme of unlimited, paid time off? Just have 4 weeks a year of rolling annual leave and be done with it! These absurd extremes serve nobody.
