Apple and Google accused of political censorship in Russia during elections
- rastafang 5y agoWhy aren't they accused of the same thing in the USA? we know that they favor a side... happens to be the same side as HN
- diskzero 5y agoIf you follow American media, you will actually see accusations against Facebook, Apple, Google, etc. "censoring" content all the time. Have they gone as far in America as what the article indicates; removal of applications in Russia associated with candidates that oppose Putin? I am not aware of any American legal action that has been used to remove applications that are allied with or against any political parties or candidates. It would be quite a revelation if there was such an action!
