Epik data breach impacts 15M users, including non-customers
- zibzab 5y ago> Processing the Epik breach and there's lots of email addresses taken from other places, for example stored copies of WHOIS records. This is some really odd data hoarder behaviour. Why did they do all this?
- ryanlol 5y agoIt’s not, everyone in the domain space wants historical whois data. Epik is definitely not alone in collecting this.
- donmcronald 5y ago> extensive security practices It’s crazy they’re allowed to say that based on the claims I’ve seen about how they handled passwords. It makes me wonder how many companies look professional on the surface, but are pure trash in the backend.
