  the joke is on the USA - "normal" is quite different in most of the world. Your reaction to unmarried mothers is warrented, yet, plural marriage and restrictions by the State on marriage, are "normal" by sheer numbers, not the USA ways. colleagues - different can mean really different. Even sophisticated people don't see it .. reality speaks in its own ways
