IMO the simple fix is to host the incoming MX servers and use a service for the outgoing SMTP. The latter is available for very cheap and the former is what you really care about hosting.
- Karrot_Kream 5y agoThis is a pretty under-appreciated thought IMO. Self-hosting is mostly about holding onto the emails you receive by yourself and not having them be scanned for ads/other purposes. Hosting your own MX and using an outgoing SMTP works just fine for those purposes.
