Ehhh... I am surprisingly unimpressed with this article. I'm an Economist subscriber, but I don't feel like they captured the intricacies of the situation. I know that's a lot to ask for a brief article, but it kind of made them sound like a pro-government bulletin board.
- SoftwareMaven 15y agoMy thoughts exactly. Without any real reporting of why these hacktivists are doing this (beyond the lulz), it comes across one-sided.

- evilswan 15y agoMeh. Weak, and ending by trying to conflate Anon/Lulz with China's wholesale theft of industrial data is flimsy.
- sek 15y agoI've never read a satisfying article from someone outside the tech community about these topics. It shouldn't sound arrogant, but they just don't get it. I don't blame them for not understanding it, but i blame them for writing about it like they do. There are good tech sites out there so why upvote The Economist here.
