I think Scafell Pike (highest mountain in England) might be the most ideal point to see the Republic of Ireland, as it's close to the West coast, and has a westward view not obstructed by mountainous Wales. From what I can see, you'd need to build an observation tower about 410m tall on Scafell Pike to see Irish land (specifically Slieve Foye): https://www.udeuschle.de/panoramas/panqueryfull.aspx?mode=newstandard&data=lon:-3.21164$$$lat:54.45432$$$alt:auto$$$altcam:410$$$hialt:false$$$resolution:20$$$azimut:257$$$sweep:80$$$leftbound:217$$$rightbound:297$$$split:60$$$splitnr:2$$$tilt:-4.375$$$tiltsplit:false$$$elexagg:1.2$$$range:300$$$colorcoding:false$$$colorcodinglimit:231$$$title:Zugspitze$$$description:$$$email:$$$language:ge$$$screenwidth:393$$$screenheight:851 https://www.udeuschle.de/panoramas/panqueryfull.aspx?mode=ne...
