This sort of 'gotcha' culture is frankly more destructive than the some supposed 'cancel' culture.
"The mayor of San Francisco was maskless at a club? I guess everything I thought I knew about masks was a lie!"
Let the voters of SF worry about it, it doesn't mean anything to me.

This isn't jaywalking, she unilaterally decided to implement a citywide mask mandate as Mayor via executive order and she goes out partying and singing without one. Do you think that is setting a good example and building trust in civic institutions?
- silicon2401 5y agoIt's possible to have more than one issue in the world at a time. Cancel culture is destructive and toxic. Gotcha culture can also be destructive and toxic at the same time.
