Can't think of a single "MASSIVE" update since transition to win7 64bit. It's all fluff for what it is. There basically hasn't been a good reason to upgrade windows other than arbitrary security update cutoffs, and mostly arbitrary caps to max DirectX version you can run. I wouldn't be surprised if it would be a downright downgrade overall performance and responsiviness wise.
