I do sympathize with him, and I think his specific content should be available on YouTube, but I can also see why YouTube would want to ban him. If I'm YouTube, and I don't really understand anything about biohacking, do I really want to take the risk of promoting material about making your own vaccines? Sure, this guy's content is informative and valuable, but it wouldn't be long before you have someone less competent promoting a self-made vaccine that kills someone. If YouTube doesn't feel it has the expertise to distinguish the two, I can see why it would be prudent to just ban them all.
- concordDance 5y agoIt would be good if YouTube weren't held responsible for the content they host (by both media and regulators). Its not fair to blame the transmitter for the content.
- Imnimo 5y agoWell, but even beyond regulators and media, if I'm a parent, do I want to let my kid watch videos on a site where they might click over to a how-to on a homemade medicine that'll kill them? And if I'm the guy running YouTube, will I sleep well at night if users of my site die after trying something that they saw on my site? I think even if I were just running YouTube in my basement and had zero media or regulator attention, I'd want to avoid that just for my own conscience.
