- onethought 5y agoIs guns per capita how you measure gun control? - do you factor in urban vs rural gun ownership? - do you factor type of gun? - do you factor whether ammunition is available for those guns? My earlier statement still holds true.
- jltsiren 5y agoGun control is pretty strict in Finland. In order to get a permit, you need to show that you need a gun for your hobby or your work and that you can handle it safely. (Self-defense is not considered a valid reason for a permit.) The permit can later be revoked if the original reason is no longer valid. Gun ownership is still quite high, because Finland is a sparsely populated country where hunting has always been popular.
