Vaers Covid Vaccine Adverse Event Reports
- h2odragon 5y ago"14,000 people died after receiving a COVID vaccine" (Edit for clarity; this is my statement alone) This statement is arguably a distortion of statistics. It is also consistent with the distorted statistics used for COVID cases and deaths. Why would the methods used to count "deaths with COVID" not apply to "deaths with vaccine"? Is there a reason other than "because this interpretation favors my argument?"
- rglover 5y agoWhere does it say any of that? What distortion? These are reports by people and medical professionals of adverse events after taking one of the available vaccines.
- h2odragon 5y agoRight. As are the case numbers reported on the news and elsewhere. I'm quoting myself to make the point there; that statement is accurate, but it doesn't tell the whole story. see the reports like [1] that expand on how the other numbers also have been taken to mean more than they perhaps should. - rglover 5y agoThat's a leap, though. I get what you're saying but it's two different things: severity of symptoms is a completely different metric from "they had a heart attack" or "they died." It's also a federal crime to file a false report, so this isn't just the shoe shiner selling stock tips: https://vaers.hhs.gov/reportevent.html https://vaers.hhs.gov/reportevent.html. If anything, this data might be missing reports (as noted by someone else below).
- vixen99 5y agoAside from your point which is likely true in many cases, could this report be totally invalid? https://greatmountainpublishing.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Harvard-Vaccine-Injury-Study-Page-6-Reveals-1-Percent-Report-Rate.pdf https://greatmountainpublishing.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/... "Adverse events from drugs and vaccines are common, but underreported. Although 25% of ambulatory patients experience an adverse drug event, less than 0.3% of all adverse drug events and 1-13% of serious events are reported to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).Likewise, fewer than 1% of vaccine adverse events are reported." It's not a trivial matter making an adverse reaction report.
- h2odragon 5y agoExcellent point. the MMR vaccine knocked our sprog down to the point that the doctor recommended she not ever have another dose; but we never considered reporting the reaction (the doctors didn't mention it either as far as i recall).
