My brain definitely boggled when I read the headline.
- neilv 5y agoMine, too. And the company appending "AI" to the name doesn't that help much, given that the original Media Lab was co-founded by Marvin Minsky, one of the founders of the general field of AI. The Media Lab was also where Minsky continued to work on AI until he passed, not that long ago. (Disclosure: Am alum of the Media Lab, from many years ago, and this "branding confusion in the market" doesn't affect me like it might some people currently there.)
