AnecData alert : We tried Youtube kids in 2019 for about a day (for my then 4 year old son). We were so shocked to see suggestive content and other crazy stuff from "verified" and reputed (100k+ followers) that we uninstalled the app then and there. There's no worse insecurity than a false sense of security
- TeMPOraL 5y agoYeah. Given the experience with regular social media platforms, the very concept of a platform for kid content, where the consumers are kids and creators are random adults from the Internet[0] seems insane. And yes, I've heard all the stories about YT Kids, and even took a brief look. We're staying away from it. Some research + youtube-dl is our way of choice for sourcing songs for our kid to listen to. -- [0] - What do people expect? That content for YTKids / IGKids will be created by 9-13 years old?
