I've always viewed fb through a browser tab and to use Messenger I change the browser to desktop mode. A couple of months ago, fb started saying something like

I've always viewed fb through a browser tab and to use Messenger I change the browser to desktop mode. A couple of months ago, fb started saying something like "You have a message waiting from..." with the profile of a friend - except there isn't actually a message. Totally shady.
