Drum Juggling
- dustintrex 5y agoThis would be quite neat if the music was actually being generated by the juggling, but it doesn't seem to be?
- gowld 5y agoThe website gave a misleading title. It's called "bounce juggling" everywhere else, including on the juggler Kateryna Nikiforova 's own website.
- anm89 5y agoYeah, I would agree that the drum bit is misleading here. Maybe bouncing balls to music? Still very impressive juggling.
- rudros 5y agoCompletely digital, but this might be of interest : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxDoO9oODOk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxDoO9oODOk
- somenewaccount1 5y agoby digital, you mean animated. The only real one I know of is Wintergatan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvUU8joBb1Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvUU8joBb1Q
- AndrewOMartin 5y agoMaybe this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1NxuK2pAQE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1NxuK2pAQE A street performer playing the drums by throwing the sticks. It's actually a very simple drum pattern, but the thythm is mint :)
- plasticsoprano 5y agoThe Flying Karamazov Brothers did real drum juggling but I can’t find a proper video outside of part of this compilation. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xVG8FBIW_iA https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xVG8FBIW_iA They would bounce juggle a large foot piano and wear electronic drums on their back hitting it with clubs. Quite a sight. Edit: some additional percussive juggling starting at the 4 min mark of this video https://vimeo.com/264353589 https://vimeo.com/264353589 Edit 2: proper video of my initial comment with the shoulder mounted drums. https://youtu.be/NFUQyJD9RK8 https://youtu.be/NFUQyJD9RK8
- bb88 5y agoAs I recall when I saw them live back in the 90's they did that. They also used a xylophone while juggling the batons. Did you ever see the Live from Lincoln Center they did an adaptation of "A Comedy of Errors" by Shakespeare? https://www.lct.org/shows/the-comedy-of-errors/ https://www.lct.org/shows/the-comedy-of-errors/ They were a very creative bunch for their time.
- greetings 5y agoThat show is on youtube! I found it years ago and put it there to try and help more people find it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwYyrbX9LUY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwYyrbX9LUY
- nixpulvis 5y agoThat's kinda what I was expecting, but honestly my first thought was that the drums would be in the air!
- bb88 5y agoReminds me of Michael Moschen's Triangle piece. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjHoedoSUXY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjHoedoSUXY

- TheDudeMan 5y agoA robot is going to take her job.
- smlacy 5y ago"hacker" "news"
- junon 5y agoYes, exactly. This is some reddit stuff, doesn't belong on the site.
- ta2234234242 5y agoNumber one story is the lumber price crash. This is as much a curiosity as that is.
- nixpulvis 5y agoWould it be OK to flag this because it's not at all drum juggling? Or should I be happy that someone commented better links?
- drcongo 5y agoI enjoyed the video but I'm mostly upvoting this because this is such a great website to share with the kids. Thanks.
