The Future of Elections: A Web Based 3rd Party Convention
- t_krupicka 15y agoWhat do you think of the platform design and the few restrictions they put on the nomination and election process? I though their approach was really unique and would like to see if it would work..
- jellicle 15y agoGah, stop it with the presidential runs. It is MUCH easier to infiltrate U.S. politics via the House of Representatives. Elect a half-dozen representatives - which is entirely possible and much cheaper than a single Presidential run - and suddenly you're Joe Lieberman - the swing votes on a lot of issues. But since most of the third-parties are driven by ego and really are just advertising for one specific person, they concentrate on a doomed Presidential run and fail miserably. What a waste. Oh, nevermind, I see Thomas Friedman was excited about this. That clinches it: it's a failure.
