I had a passenger who'd worked in the nuclear testing program, and had ended up in Arizona because it was 1/2 way between the labs in Los Angeles, the labs in New Mexico, and the testing site in Nevada. I asked him about the government's underground infrastructure. He confirmed that there is stuff underground, and said, "there's way more stuff underground at Area 12, than at Area 51."
I'm predisposed to thinking science for the public is a propaganda effort, and the real science being classified. It'd be inconvenient for the concentration of power if energy was free, etc.
This quote from the article jumped at me:
"Now, we know that there’s plenty of innovation going on in the black world, and just last month, the US admitted that it had developed & tested a sixth-generation fighter completely in secret, but we don’t see as much of that macro-level innovation in the white world anymore, which is troubling." (emphasis added)
Oh really? Hmm... (this medium.com article is dated "Jan 12", presumably 2021)
> Last September, USAF's top acquisition official, Will Roper, told Defense News: “We’ve already built and flown a full-scale flight demonstrator in the real world, and we broke records in doing it. We are ready to go and build the next-generation aircraft in a way that has never happened before.”
>
> The new plane, which is intended to replace the F-22, is part of the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) programme.
>
> Little is known about the jet, but the Air Force has just dropped a massive clue: concept art of a fighter jet being built under the NGAD programme.

My question to my passenger about underground infrastructure had to do with the 'conspiracy theory' that the government had nuclear powered tunneling machines: https://www.osti.gov/servlets/purl/4444905 https://www.osti.gov/servlets/purl/4444905
