Hello!
I'm the author of this app. I wanted a simple way to create a CV that looks like a timeline and have the possibility to share it with an url. I think it's a lot easier to get an overview of ones experiences when their visualized in a timeline. I used LinkedIn before, but it started to look more and more like a social network lately and all the ads were also disturbing.
It's still in a very raw state and it's probably best to view it in desktop mode (i.e. not in mobile). But if you have some ideas what to add/change, I would be happy to hear them!
- linkdd 5y agoNicely done, I used the same approach on my own CV. One thing I find difficult with a timeline is to display overlapping positions (part time contracts as a freelancer are a common thing for me). I usually sort by end-date because when you leave seems more important than when you start. It seems you sort by start-date: http://puu.world/f53a1321-db5c-4d5f-abc5-cb0831498fcb http://puu.world/f53a1321-db5c-4d5f-abc5-cb0831498fcb
- sndkao 5y agoThanks! Yes, the overlapping position is a tricky one, not sure yet whats the best solution for it. Perhaps then the vertical timeline bars should be split into multiple bars that are parallel. I need to test it. Thanks for pointing that out.
- selfhoster11 5y agoHi. I recommend changing the name. The current one has rather unfortunate connotations.
