TL;DR Software doesn’t mess with people, people mess with people.
History of photoshop, quick mention of beauty industry. Nothing on actually problematic uses, which are rare. No mention of the growing ability to fake across many channels at once. I don’t mean to sound as if mimicking humans causes the end of the world, it’s just really superficial.
