I think CCP is indeed preparing for a war over Taiwan. There are plenty activities recently pointing to the mutual independence between China and US, in economy, cultural, military etc. I don't believe there is an active war plan in place. But it looks like at least CCP is laying the foundation for a war, so that there might be chance for US to concede wholy to relinquish their support for Taiwan Independence. Well, I guess that's better than a nuclear war.
