Is 5G even real yet?

I get ~2.5Gb download speeds on my 12 mini when it has "5g UW" service. Seems real to me.

As someone with a 500mb data plan and $1/mb overage, this scares me. A month of data gone before I can stop the download. I hate living in a country with third-world phone plans (hint: it’s north of the USA).
