COVRA and Urenco have long term solutions (1kY) for storage and disposal. In Finland they have as well. Not sure why you think there isn't anything in place for this.
- roelschroeven 5y agoAs far as I can see Urenco produces nuclear fuel (through uranium enrichment), so they have nothing to do with nuclear waste. COVRA only does temporary storage (100 years). They are coordinating research into finding a final long-term solution, meaning they don't have a solution currently. Where do you get that 1000 year duration? I don't know about the Finnish solution. Do you have some links about that?
