How is it different from what GraphQL gives (Other than being too flexible)? Front-end can do single API call for entire page and can be cached.
Did I miss the whole point?
- danielrhodes 5y agoThis kind of supports the author’s point. Many times when using GraphQL you will fetch data in a way that matches how the front-end needs the data, not in the way that creates a clean decoupled abstraction for the backend.
- TheCoelacanth 5y agoWhich is exactly what GraphQL was designed for: a tool for easily writing APIs to translate your clean decoupled general-purpose APIs into something that is convenient for the front-end to use.
