Good thing these devs don’t have meaningful equity. Inability to deliver because of the shit state of the code base they work with messes up the company value, at least for past companies. Another reason to share equity (make owner) and be super careful about contractors. For the current company, it puts my ability to deliver in jeopardy so I’d really like to sit these devs down. I think your premise is really that you want to work on the project from inception to V2 and GTFO before the problems show up, and I can’t disagree.
