Ignoring the god-awful attempt at "humor" that I just killed a few of my brain cells by glancing over, I was sorely disappointed this wasn't an article discussing the characteristics of how people walk and what constitutes walking 'normally'. As anyone who's been ostracised and victimised for "walking weird" will tell you. When you ask the honest question of how one is supposed to "walk normally" so you stand a fighting chance of being treated like a human being by the vain, Darwinistic sociopaths that make up the rest of society, the answer you get is invariably radio silence. Because these scum don't want you to know how to walk in the way that they deem acceptable. They want to be able to invent something to point and laugh at you about, to drag you down and beat you into submission for the heinous crime of not putting one foot in front of the other in the unspoken "correct" way, to tear every bit of self-esteem out of you until you're nothing but a servant to them - wanted when you're useful, disposable otherwise.

- unraveller 5y agoPeople don't reach for posture gurus [1,2,3] to adhere to strict normalcy, usually advice is sort for reasons of beauty, pain relief, and mental clarity. If you are experiencing shame for your walking style it may be that they believe improper walking, posture, and breathing leads to slavish, impulsive, in short, contagious behaviour. You might be proving your enemies right and providing them with the contrast they want with your wall of text. Back on topic, who knows how much of our walking style/tendency is genetic asymmetries like muscle length or social mimicry. If you just want the basics of improving normal walking posture: purposefulness, practice, feet straight, keep thine heel heavy as though you are pushing off the centre of the planet. And you'd be surprised how much the shoulders are the control centre for everything and how tight muscles magically release when the alternate one is engaged by second nature.
