I think these remote controlled drones are pretty tame. Especially when compared to other area denial weapons like land mines, razor wire, chemicals, and boobie traps. A drone isn't going to blow kids legs off while playing soccer 20 years later because a military forgot to clear it. I doubt they are cheap enough to be practical though. Especially when you can do the same thing with fixed cameras, electronic sensors and patrol aircraft.
