> our immigration system is so broken There are plenty of those in Europe as well, in case you've missed the barrage of news about migrant crises, xenophobic naturalization policies, etc. Certainly, there are also countries like France that don't treat citizenship like some reward at the end of a pointlessly contrived maze, and these countries (IMO) deserve credit for that.
