Also tedious:
$ ls -Q
ls: illegal option -- Q
usage: ls -aAbBcCdeEfFghHiklLmnopqrRsStuUwxvV1@/[c | v]%[atime | crtime | ctime | mtime | all] [files]
It's succinct but that second line is almost completely useless.
