I feel the same way. I’m trying to learn C but there are a lot of things about it that just make it more difficult than it needs to be to learn. Like why is * used in so many different ways!? Why is it that I need to learn multiple different programs to build and install my programs (nmake, cmake, make, shell script or even .bat). Why don’t I just have a compiler already installed on Windows?
And then there is specifying linking files and include files, and headers, it makes it so challenging to even run other people’s code
