The issue is that jets are super inefficient for thrust. That’s why all modern passenger jets use the jet core just as a power source pretty much and rely on the bypass fan for almost all of the thrust. There’s no good reason to replicate the jet core when you can just use an electric motor to drive the bypass fan directly.
