But they are better than the taxi sharks. I will always use them!
- dncornholio 5y agoSo you would rather pay less for a ride and let the driver take the hit? Wouldn't you be happier knowing the driver can cover his insurance, has pension, etc? Regular taxi's might be overpriced, but you don't need to create an Uber to solve this problem.
- yawaworht1978 5y agoExactly, one way or another we pay anyway. One is instant, to the Uber app, the other is clandestine and not immediately obvious. I am more happy to know the driver can make a living from it. The parasitic disrupting companies can feel free to ask for more investor money. Uber is taking advantage of this while they can. as soon the threat of 10k fine per infringement is set, they stop. They only listen to violence and threats, oh well so be it. As for expensive prices, let the Europeans sort it out themselves.
- thefounder 5y agoThe taxi services are not only overpriced but they are bad as well. Many drivers take advantage of the lack of transparency and supervision(i.e they overcharge you, don't keep the cars clean, you can't leave any review etc). I like Uber because they fixed many of the taxi service issues(at least on the consumer side). The taxi drivers/industry deserves a Uber "disruption".
