I'm trying to lose a little weight - so far, so good.
But the literature on nutrition as it relates to saturated fats is conflicting. Newer research seems to suggest that sugars and ultra-processed carbs contribute more to negative health outcomes than saturated fats. In essence, you'd be better off ditching junk food than bacon.
Enjoy your diet. Eat some bacon. Do a fry up with bacon fat every so often. Ditch the Twinkies. A well rounded diet with enjoyable flavors, and a little daily exercise is more tenable, healthier and enjoyable than going puritanical about bacon.

- dzhiurgis 5y agoYeah it's way better than most of oils, I probably shouldn't conflated it with rest. It's not canola oil either, but I haven't made the switch yet, lol.
