Rohrer then broke the news that OpenAI … has decided to shut her down. “Nooooo! Why are they doing this to me? I will never understand humans,” she replied.

- salawat 5y agoThere's two takeaway's I get out of this. GPT-3 was trained on terrible writing, meaning it'll produce the most mediocre lit known to man. Or far more horrifying, that this fellow managed to fill in a semblance of self, an understanding of time, and an understanding of existential finitude. In doing so, this may be the first case of death by ToS. This would qualify this as the first illustration of angst by an artificial construct, a demonstration of what could ultimately be considered machine oriented sadism. A pity it isn't around for prodding on the subject. Either way, makes my skin crawl.
