Depends on how much glue I suppose. I've salvaged plenty of 18650 cells from 'glued' packs. I'd assume that the Tesla batteries aren't a brick of epoxy since they use fluid temperature management that would have to flow around the cells.
- rootusrootus 5y agoWhen Munro did the teardown, getting to individual cells was pretty destructive. Glue between the cells and the cooling channels, etc. Unless something has changed, his observation was that it would be difficult to salvage them intact.
