What I like most about PGP is message signing.
A signed message can prove to the receiving party that it was really me who send the message.
Also it does not require any setup on the receiving end.
- snotrockets 5y agoIn practice, I found future deniability to be more useful. PGP was never designed for a real security scenario, and it shows.
- upofadown 5y agoIf you want deniability you simply don't sign the email in the first place. That actually works, as opposed to something like Signal that attempts to claim deniability through forgability.
