IoT has always been a buzzword, but at least it communicates what it is slightly better than embedded system. The buzzword I currently despise is edge computing.
- guerrilla 5y ago> edge computing. That seems to nean something though: the trend of hosting not just information but computation more local to its destination like CDNs did for information. I don't know what IoT means other than shit that shouldn't be networked (let alone computational) is networked.
