Tidelift – A managed open-source subscription

• Datenstrom 5y ago
A friend just showed me the rich library for Python[1] which is awesome btw. But I saw that they were using Tidelift and was wondering if anyone had experience with it sounds like a great idea. Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with Tidelift in any way [1]: https://pypi.org/project/rich/ https://pypi.org/project/rich/

So far, it has generated no income.

If you’re comfortable sharing, what caused you to join the tidelift program?

Getting paid to develop open source. What’s not to like? Great in theory, but projects will only generate income if they are a dependency of the subscribers.
