"Private - All cloud features are opt-in. Data is encrypted at rest."
Wait... was this even under question? Why would my terminal not be private? :/
- wffurr 5y agoBecause it has cloud features: "#6: Leverage the cloud. The basics of computing have changed since the advent of the CLI, and no change has been more profound than the rise of the internet. Once you start to think about it, there are a lot of leverage points: why is shell history limited by your local hard-drive? Why doesn’t your shell configuration follow you across machines? Why can’t you transfer a CLI session to the browser so you can keep working on the go? (Don't worry, though, Warp is local-first, and all cloud features will be opt-in. You can find out more in our privacy policy)." https://blog.warp.dev/how-we-design-warp-our-product-philosophy/ https://blog.warp.dev/how-we-design-warp-our-product-philoso...
- nixpulvis 5y agoFile sync is pretty separate from the shell IMO, unless your shell is an OS, which can be argued for I guess, but I wouldn't.
- nixpulvis 5y agoYea, that was issue #1.
