This can probably be developed to be a remote sensing solution with quite a bit of range and with a non visible it won’t be noticeable to adversaries. This single laser technique also likely has implications for other NLOS imaging situations too for example imaging a force behind cover by illuminating an area within line of sight of both you and the target.
