Probably not what you're asking for, but it's been working for me great and I don't see many people doing this. When I need to learn a lot of material quickly and it's not interesting, I do 1 hour learning and 1 hour mentally consuming entertainment (gaming, Netflix) interchanged, as long as I have to. 30 minute intervals if the subject is really boring. Keeps me concentrated and I can sustain it for extended periods of time.
