World’s biggest machine capturing carbon from air turned on in Iceland

The plant cost between US$10 and 15m to build Ouch, that's about $14k per car (BTW, I'm assuming it means ICE cars), and doesn't take into account operating costs. I'm sure this tech would get cheaper after the concept is proved, but realistically could it get cheap enough?
