it seems so strange to me that this is just an ongoing thing. day after day. week after week. month after month. year after year. headline after headline.
like, i can explain or understand most things in the world that interest me -- why most problems exist, for instance (racism, prob).
but in the case of this, is it possible that the US government, under umpteen presidents, has little to no control over Russia...errrr....somebody destroying CIA assets....errrrr....State Department employees?
which country is up next month?

- readonthegoapp 5y agothat's an incredible video. first, the newscaster says 'spies'. i don't think i've seen or heard that anywhere before. i've read 'officials' and 'embassy staff' and the like, but i assumed all the weird secrecy meant it was really CIA that were being targeted. then CIA dude gets on there and says "act of war". what?? all the covered up medical reports, all the undermining of the victims, it's....just loco. if i had to take a guess as to why the US is acting the way it is -- that is, doing its best to cover it all up -- it's because we don't want to admit that russia (or someone) is absolutely _destroying_ us - figuratively and literally - and we have no real idea how. and we just see it as the cost of doing business. i'm not about to feel sorry for the CIA, especially so close to the Chilean 9/11, but it still feels wrong. also, why didn't the CIA stop American 9/11? i have to go back and read the whitewash report. eh, sidetracked.
- hulitu 5y agoTaking into account that it happens only in US embassies i would say it's a device made by US. They shall ask the CIA.
