Amazon to cover 100% of college tuition for U.S. hourly employees

Presumably they've done the math. Ditto the for-profit, VC-backed digital labor union folks (and their vc backers): https://unitworkers.com/ https://unitworkers.com/ Of course, Amazon -- and most companies, presumably -- want to hit the sweet spot -- they don't want to offer _everything_ they'd have to give up if they were to allow a union to form -- they want to offer up _just_ enough to keep the workforce from organizing (just enough carrot to go along with all the illegal sticks). Myself, as a hippie founder-type, outside of a full worker co-op, I still don't know how to think about unions. I'm generally pro-union, pro-worker, etc., but at _my_ startup? Won't having a union kill it before it starts? If not, how not? Seems too risky to me.
