I've found it curious that the embassy in Havana is surrounded by a tall iron fence with thick iron studs every meter. Is it conceivable that sounds like cricket sounds can be reverberating off of this fence and accentuating the sound waves?
- simonblack 5y agoSo what explains the syndrome in Washington DC, Australia, China, Austria, etc, etc, etc? Down the track we'll find that it's due to Workplace Injuries.
- spywaregorilla 5y agoNo, it is not.
- egfx 5y agoWhy not? Have you ever bounced sound off a tuning fork?
- spywaregorilla 5y agoThat's not how acoustic resonance works, and if it did happen, it would be hard to not notice. The whole "sonic weapon" thing is backwards reasoning where it was asssumed, because people heard things, that the sound was the cause, rather than a symptom.
- egfx 5y agowho says they're not noticing it? The article states in certain terms that people would hear "Buzzing", "grinding metal", "piercing squeals" - sounds, clearly audible.
- spywaregorilla 5y agoThey would notice it was coming from the fence.
